Awaken Bible Prophecy Update 12-27-23 – Mother Gaia & Aliens Believe in the Pre-Trib Rapture!

Have you ever wondered why it is that so many people deny the wondrous promise of the solid doctrine of the pre-Tribulation Rapture?  I’ve attempted in prior Commentaries to outline a number of reasons.  Among them are the fact that many continue to believe a flat-out lie that won’t die within this community of pre-Trib deniers.  That untruth, of course, is the false notion that John Nelson Darby conceived of the pre-Trib Rapture in the 1800s because of his association with a mystic who had a demonic vision.  This fiction has been thoroughly debunked time after time, but the post-Tribbers always come back to it – seemingly unable to shake off Satan’s deceit.

In a Prophecy Update I did in September 2023 titled NAR Post-Trib End-Times Beliefs, I noted how Mike Bickle, a well-known NAR Bible teacher associated with the International House of Prayer (IHOP), has based his beliefs, not only on the John Nelson Darby fairytale, but by reading into Scripture what he wants it to say.  This is technically called eisegesis and is an absolutely incorrect method of Bible study.  We must do what’s known as exegesis, whereby we read God’s Word and interpret the world through that lens.  When we attempt to make the Bible adhere to our personal biases, nothing but false teaching can result.

We’ll explore some aspects of this false teaching today.  First, we’ll pray and read from God’s Word.

Scripture

Romans 1:18-23

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

Mother Gaia & Aliens Believe in the Pre-Trib Rapture!

  • It’s rather a shame that so much of the church follows personal bias in Scripture interpretation.
  • Why?
  • Because much of the world travels the same direction on that broad highway.
  • What is it that we’re told will happen in the end times about the promise of God and Christ’s coming?
  • Let’s look at the entire passage of 2 Peter 3:1-10:

This is now the second letter that I am writing to you, beloved. In both of them I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder, that you should remember the predictions of the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles, knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation.” For they deliberately overlook this fact, that the heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God, and that by means of these the world that then existed was deluged with water and perished. But by the same word the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.

  • We’re all familiar with these verses.
  • Mockers and scoffers will do what they do because they deliberately ignore who God is, what He’s done in the past, and how He will by no means forsake His promise of what is to come.
  • For those in this camp, it’ll be quite a surprise, and not very pleasant.

  • I’ve mentioned previously that I read a number of financial writers.
  • The ones I follow are contrarian and do a great job discerning the economic troubles we’re facing and where they will ultimately lead.
  • Despite that, they aren’t on top of Bible prophecy and as a result miss that part of the picture.
  • Several of them have a Catholic background which tends to deny what many of us non-Catholics see coming.

  • Joel Bowman who writes with Bonner Private Research penned an article recently with a title I appreciate: The End is Nigh . . . and Other Reasons to be Cheerful.
  • I don’t know Joel’s religious background; he actually appears to have significant pagan attachments.
  • But you’ll see in a moment that some of his beliefs apparently follow potential Catholic thinking.
  • Here are several paragraphs from his article.
  • I’m providing a link, but I believe it’s available only to subscribers.

If you consume the evening news, you might be forgiven for thinking the end of days are at hand. Fear not, dear reader; chances are, we’re just not that special.

Turns out, doomsday cults are as old as the days are long. From the Essene order of Jewish ascetics, who saw their rising up against the Romans in 66-70 AD as a prelude to the coming of the Messiah… to Hilary of Poitiers, the French bishop who predicted the end of the world in 365 AD… to the trembling triumvirate of Hippolytus of Rome, Sextus Julius Africanus and Irenaeus, who foretold the second coming of Christ (based on the dimensions of Noah’s Ark) in 500 AD, history is full of end time predictions. (Sextus later reset his cataclysm clock from 500 to 800 AD, presumably due to a cubit rounding error made while measuring the Ark’s upper deck.)

Over the centuries, brigades of bed-wetting panic artists came forth to wail and gnash their teeth over this or that date of decimation. Popes and priests, astrologers and kabbalists, false prophets, TV evangelists, pyramidologists and hucksters of every stripe stepped up, each with their own crackpot explanation and, usually, a collection plate in hand. Even allegedly sane individuals fell prey to what Freud called the death wish… mathematician John Napier, artist Sandro Botticelli, navigator Christopher Columbus and gadfly reformer Martin Luther all predicted fire and brimstone of varying descriptions.

All is to say, mankind’s penchant for imagining the worst is hardly news. And yet, here we are… not only stubbornly not backstroking in lakes of fire or raptured into the hereafter, but alive and well enough to bemoan our wretched existence and to place more immovable obstacles along our path to truth and beauty.

From tales of imminent climate meltdown, replete with drowning polar bears and underwater Maldive wedding ceremonies… to looming nuclear armageddon and mushroom clouds of mutually assured destruction… to the fate of democracy, hanging precariously in the balance… professional catastrophizers in the mainstream media never saw a molehill they didn’t seek to turn into a spewing Vesuvius.

And it makes a certain amount of sense. A fearful audience is, after all, a captive audience. There’s a reason it’s called “programming.” (And that’s to say nothing of the aptly-named social media news “feeds.”)

  • As much as I appreciate the financial information that Joel and his colleagues provide, he obviously has no use for Bible prophecy.
  • From this, you can see the doubt – as it were – regarding the possibility that we really are in the end times – the literal end of days.
  • Truth be told, is what Joel observes from his secular perspective really any different than most of the church?

  • At least Mike Bickel with his theology admits to the coming Tribulation, but how many churches out there have pastors that completely ignore the signs of the times?
  • To this point, Jan Markel sent out an email article titled The Silence of the Shepherds.
  • She remarks how so many pulpits are absolutely silent even in the face of the atrocious attacks on Israel by Hamas.

Are pastors, churches, and denominations silent because of their theology? Perhaps it doesn’t fit with the current scenario? Perhaps they believe the church is the new Israel (Replacement Theology). Perhaps they are Amillennial, and Israel is a bit inconvenient. This belief encompasses many Protestants and all Catholics.

The church supersedes the calling of Israel to be a light to the nations!

But there is still human disaster and suffering at play here! Bonhoeffer said, “silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”  How can you be silent?

  • What is absolutely fascinating in all this is how the demonic realm believes in the pre-Tribulation Rapture and has made plans for it.
  • Much of the church doesn’t believe but Satan surely does!

  • This first quote celebrates Gaia – Mother Earth.
  • She is exceedingly disturbed by those people that don’t worship the creation.
  • Who could they be?
  • They’ve caused severe harmonic distortion in the planet resulting in the necessity to do something to fix the problem.

Earth is a sentient being, or collection of beings. The sentient beings that make up Earth came into this collective of consciousness out of love for the unity of this consciousness and desire to experience being a home for consciousness. When Earth is in jeopardy and humanity has pushed things too far, Earth will do whatever is necessary to teach the human species about the proper care of its home, in order for you as the inhabitants to learn a bigger lesson. This inevitably leads to the overwhelming probability of Earth doing some major changes in order to capture the consciousness of human beings and point out to them what they are missing. If 20 million people disappeared in an afternoon because of an Earth change, perhaps the other humans would wake up. Perhaps. The people who leave the planet during the time of Earth changes do not fit here any longer, and they are stopping the harmony of Earth. When the time comes that perhaps 20 million people leave the planet at one time, there will be a tremendous shift in consciousness for those who are remaining. When a large group passes over together, they create an impact on the consciousness of those who remain.

  • We see here that Gaia is planning for an exodus of some 20 million people.
  • What does she – this earth goddess – know that we don’t?

  • I also find it interesting that Dean allows the repetition of this figure twice of 20 million people being Raptured without commenting against it.
  • If the earth population has been reduced to 6 billion through globalist depopulation efforts by sometime in 2025 (next year!), and the Rapture occurs then, 20 million is only 1 of every 3000 people.
  • It is also significantly fewer than many optimistic estimates of hundreds of millions or a billion people Raptured, which we often see quoted.

  • Frankly, if Dean is accepting this number because he believes apostasy and other factors will drastically reduce those who are Raptured, I think he’s absolutely on target.
  • I’ve advanced this idea for quite a while that the warm and fuzzy idea that Salvation = Rapture is highly questionable in my mind. . .
  • Because I believe God in His mercy may allow many persistent and deliberately sinning believers to have the opportunity to be purified and refined through the persecution of the Tribulation. . .
  • Just as many in the rest of the world today have gone through that process.

  • Regardless, once the Rapture happens, from the Gaia perspective the world will obviously change for the better.
  • From this, it appears that being left behind will be a marvelous thing because Gaia will bring about a truly wonderful New Age.
  • This is surely a reason for post-Tribbers to celebrate.
  • I mean, who in the Christian community wouldn’t want to be on the same page as the tree huggers?

  • Gaia is not the only entity anticipating the Rapture.
  • Not to be left out, those who believe in green and gray aliens, UFOs, and all that goes with this line of thought have their own beliefs as to a coming disappearance of some number of people.
  • This quote from Dean’s article covers the bases for the panspermia crowd, i.e. those who believe earth was seeded by an alien race.

It will be a secret taking away of spiritual leaders and teachers of the Light workers, but not those of the Special Legion who will remain until the last phase is completed . . .  In this covert rescue they will be invisibly levitated by beam to smaller ships that wait, on which they will be transported to the great Mother Ships anchored high in the atmosphere. Again, it was repeated for emphasis, Phase 1 will remove all of the Earth Volunteers on assignment except those of the Special Legion who remain, highly protected, till all evacuation is complete. It was stressed that it was impossible for them to state or give a figure of how many will participate in any of the removals because of the constant fluctuating population of the planet through death or intervention of Human Will, and the opening of the chakras of the new ones. As mentioned earlier, there will be no landing areas for Phase 1. They will be overhead and none will land . . . all over the globe where events warrant it, this will be the method of evacuation. Mankind will be lifted, levitated shall we say, by the beams of our smaller Scout Craft. These smaller craft will in turn taxi the persons to the larger Mother Ships overhead, higher in the atmosphere, where there is ample space and quarters and supplies for millions of people.

[ . . . ]

Do not be concerned nor unduly upset if you do not participate in this first temporary lift-up of souls who serve with us. This merely means that your action in the plan is elsewhere, and you will be taken for your instructions or will receive them in some other manner. Do not take any personal affront if you are not alerted or are not a participant in this first phase of our plan. Your time will come later, and these instructions are not necessary for you at this time.

  • In this scenario, it’s a good thing that people are taken away.
  • Everybody wins here.
  • The key is that those left are really special because they have ongoing work to do.
  • But, not to worry, they also will be snatched away at an appropriate time.

  • How many people will be taken who have finished their special assignments?
  • It could be millions, but there’s plenty of room for everyone.

  • I think it’s great that there are enough narratives that everyone can find one to their liking.
  • It doesn’t matter if you’re post-Trib, a Gaia sycophant, or believe in good or bad aliens – when you remain behind on the earth, it’s a good thing – so enjoy!

  • The rest of us who will actually be snatched away by Jesus in truth have the greatest hope.
  • We believe in God’s Word that promises our deliverance from this lost and dying world.
  • Obviously, so do many New Agers.
  • They are anticipating our departure and salivating for it.

  • Wouldn’t you think that if the demonic realm thinks we’ll be snatched away that all of Christendom in contrast would believe likewise?
  • But, no.
  • Far too many would rather stand with the world and its fantasies rather than trust in what God has actually said.

  • Will that result in a negative consequence of any kind?
  • A lot of folks in the Christian community don’t think so.
  • But, what if it does?
  • What if unbelief brings about an unexpected outcome?

  • We’ll just have to see how it all plays out.
  • The question I continually come back to, however, is:
  • Why wouldn’t every Christian want Christ to return right now to take us out of this soul-draining world?

  • In fact, that’s the million-dollar question.

I was reading an article by Jack Kelley titled “Wrath of God” and as I read about the Tribulation I continue to be baffled by post-tribbers…the horrors of the bowl judgements alone (if you survive that long that is) continues to confound me on why anyone thinks it’s a badge of honor to go through it…”We can ride it out”…ride out what…how are they possibly gonna just ride it out…where are they gonna go…where can they hide…oh wait I forgot while the Earth is being decimated they will be somehow like Superman with bullets bouncing off his chest…an Earthquake so great every mountain is destroyed and every island disappears and every nation on Earth is basically reduced to rubble…I just don’t get their mindset…I wouldn’t wish what happens then on my worst enemy…the saddest part of it is for the ones who take the mark they will experience all that and think that will be the worst that they will ever see and then oh wait then they get thrown into the Lake of Fire after all that…I don’t understand their mindset and for the ones who never want to be saved I just don’t get it…it’s a gamble that they will never win…God help us all!

From a recent interaction, I’ve seen that many people simply don’t take the prophetic Scriptures at their literal Word. Not saying we have everything completely right, but their eschatology is a mishmash of beliefs that seem to minimize their capability of grasping how severe the Tribulation will be.

After re-reading your article I forgot who are the good aliens again…LOL!

As I understand the concept, the grays are the bad guys and the greens are good. BTW – I’m selling the Brooklyn Bridge in Arizona to the highest bidder.

  3. Reply Charles Bassett

There is no question in my mind the Church will not go through any part of the Tribulation because, as someone has said, Jesus is not a wife beater…

    End of discussion.

    • Reply Gary Ritter

Exactly. People who think true believers have to endure the Tribulation simply don’t understand God’s character (and there are a lot of Christians in that category).

  4. Reply Chris

Hi Gary, can you further explain what you mean by this please?

Because I believe God in His mercy may allow many persistent and deliberately sinning believers to have the opportunity to be purified and refined through the persecution of the Tribulation. . .

    Gary, when you wrote this:

Because I believe God in His mercy may allow many persistent and deliberately sinning believers to have the opportunity to be purified and refined through the persecution of the Tribulation. . .

are you saying that some born again, persistently or habitually believers will be left behind after the rapture to endure the tribulation in order to be purified and refined?

    • Reply Gary Ritter

Yes. I’ve actually discussed this fairly often. If God doesn’t change, which He doesn’t, and if He required His people Israel in OT times to obey Him and not deliberately and persistently sin against Him, why would His requirement be any different for born-again believers in NT times? We have the choice to walk in all His ways, or we can allow the flesh or the world to have more allure than keeping our focus on Christ. Scripture is clear that He will bring a pure and refined Bride to His Father’s house. If Christians (saved, born-again) are doing those things which God says will result in keeping them from His kingdom, why should such believers think they’ll be Raptured? I think it’s a false, feel-good position to think we can do anything we want that’s contrary to God’s ways and still receive such a blessing.

As such, I think God will give such folks the opportunity to get their walk right during a time of great trouble (during the Tribulation), basically to get off the fence of serving Him or not.

I know this is rather offensive to believers who have the mindset that Salvation = Rapture, but I frankly see an awful lot in Scripture that contradicts that idea.
