Awaken Bible Prophecy Update 3-30-22 – Antichrist Ruminations

https://rumble.com/embed/vwfemz/?pub=hexg3The identity of the coming Antichrist has been long debated.  The question causes many people to dig deeply into Scripture and survey the world for a potential candidate for this nefarious position.  Other folks shrug their shoulders and say, “Who cares?”  Just like the issue of when the Rapture occurs and many declare they’re pan-Rapture with everything panning out in the end, so it is with Antichrist that he’ll be whoever he is, i.e. “Not my problem.”

Well, that attitude is terribly shortsighted and also contradicts what God would have us do.  Ignore this issue and you’re essentially being disobedient to God.  He gave us Bible prophecy – as much as 1/3 of Scripture pertains to prophecy.  Are we to read and consider only the other 2/3 of the Bible?  That sounds like the red-letter Christians who pick and choose what’s relevant by saying they only read the red-letter words of Christ.  Their flawed thinking believes the rest of the Bible is unnecessary.  In fact, from their perspective, we need to unhitch ourselves from the Old Testament because it’s simply not applicable to our lives.

Contradicting that approach, I want to do a brief survey of Antichrist candidates that various Bible teachers have put forth previously and lately, including my current nomination – for what that’s worth!  As with our dealing with the subject of Transhumanism in last week’s Prophecy Update, this topic is a big one, so our discussion is a little longer than normal today.

Awaken Bible Prophecy Update 3-30-22 – Antichrist Ruminations

The identity of the coming Antichrist has been long debated.

First, let’s pray, read several Scriptures and go from there.

<PRAY>

Scriptures

Daniel 9:26

And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.

Daniel 11:36-37 (ESV)

“And the king shall do as he wills. He shall exalt himself and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak astonishing things against the God of gods. He shall prosper till the indignation is accomplished; for what is decreed shall be done.  He shall pay no attention to the gods [or God (KJV)] of his fathers, or to the one beloved by women. He shall not pay attention to any other god, for he shall magnify himself above all.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 (KJV)

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition [lawlessness]; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

John 17:12

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

2 Thessalonians 2:6-10 (ESV)

And you know what is restraining him now so that he may be revealed in his time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work. Only he who now restrains it will do so until he is out of the way. And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will kill with the breath of his mouth and bring to nothing by the appearance of his coming. The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

[note: he comes for those who are perishing!]

Ruminations on Antichrist

  • To give you a heads-up on our survey of identifying the Antichrist, there are several authors who have expounded on this
  • They are:
  • In addition, current events have promoted some – myself included – to speculate on this mysterious character

    • Let’s start first with The Antichrist by Arthur Pink
    • As a side note Pink wrote this book earlier in his career
    • Some think its contents may be thoroughly discarded because Pink changed his theological approach from Dispensationalism to Covenant Theology and rejected his earlier writings in this regards
    • Also Pink became an avowed Calvinist in his adoption of Covenant Theology – Calvinism being something I disagree with  thoroughly , AND I put myself in the Dispensational camp
    • Not having read his other works I can’t comment on if or how he changed in end-times philosophy, and I don’t know whether that or his Calvinism would later alter his research and conclusions concerning Antichrist
    • Regardless, here are three thoughts that Pink had regarding our subject in his book
    • #1 – The Antichrist will be a Jew
    • #2 – The Antichrist will be the son of Satan
    • #3 (and perhaps the most controversial) – The Antichrist will be Judas reincarnated
    • Let’s take these in order
    • #1 – The Antichrist will be a Jew
      • Pink outlines several Scriptural reasons for this
      • Here are just a couple:
      • Our verses in Daniel 11:36-37 note one reason
      • Again the verses read:
        • “And the king shall do as he wills.
      • That Antichrist will pay no attention to the God of his fathers seems significant – his fathers being presumably the patriarchs of Israel
      • Even if it reads accurately as gods, we know Antichrist has no loyalty except to himself as the one to be worshiped
      • Another passage that Pink connected to Antichrist is Matthew 12:43-45 in which Jesus speaks of the unclean spirit returning to the house which was swept clean
      • We often use this verse to describe someone upon whom an exorcism has been performed, but it appears to also pertain to Israel
      • Note what the unclean spirit says in Matthew 12:44:
  • Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’
      • It will return to HIS house
      • Is that the nation of Israel?
      • If so, it’s very telling as to this unclean spirit being a Jew
      • One other interesting speculation is that the Jewish Antichrist will come from the tribe of Dan
      • The potential “evidence” pointing to that is how Dan continually worshiped idols – but so did Ephraim
      • Interestingly, neither of these tribes is shown in Revelation 7 as having any of the 144,000 Jewish evangelists come from them
    • #2 – The Antichrist will be the son of Satan
      • Pink shows numerous contrasting verses between the children of God and those of Satan
      • One of the most telling is Genesis 3:15 which reads:
  • And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
      • Satan has a seed, i.e. offspring of one form or another
      • Given the supernatural aspects of the Tribulation, it is not unlikely that Satan’s seed is a literal person (although perhaps not fully human) – not just general offspring who are sinful
      • The other verse that is interesting to me is 2 Thessalonians 2:3 which says:
  •  Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
      • Who or what is perdition?
      • It would be Satan himself
      • Thus the son in this case would be the Antichrist
      • We’ll come back to this for more in a moment
    • #3 (and perhaps the most controversial) – The Antichrist will be Judas reincarnated
      • Jesus at the Passover Meal says in John 6:70:
  • “Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a Devil?”
      • Pink points out that there are many demons, but only one devil
      • Of course we also see in John that Satan entered into Judas – so he literally was the devil incarnate
      • Now, here’s what Jesus said in John 17:12 in His high holy prayer:
  • “While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.”
      • Notice that Jesus says THE son of perdition – not A son
      • How does Pink conclude that Antichrist is Judas reincarnated?
      • He refers to Acts 1:25 which says:
  • That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
    • What is this place that Judas went?  What does that mean?
    • Pink connects it with Revelation 11:7 in which the Beast comes out of the bottomless pit
    • Pink concludes that Judas went to the Abyss when he died – i.e. he went to Tartarus – and that the Beast rising here is Judas effectively reincarnated as the Antichrist
  • Thomas Ice, a noted end-times scholar – wrote a short paper refuting Arthur Pink’s notion of a Jewish Antichrist
  • Among the reasons Ice gives for a Gentile Antichrist is the Biblical typology in which Antiochus Epiphanes – during the time of the Maccabees in the Intertestamental Period between Malachi and Jesus – was a type of Antichrist and very much a Gentile – not a Jew
  • Another reason Ice gives is that the Beast rising out of the sea in Revelation 13;1 would symbolically be coming from the sea of humanity, i.e. the Gentile world, and not from Israel
  • There’s a link below to Thomas Ice’s paper which is short and easy to read if you’d like his further rationale against Pink’s argument of Antichrist being a Jew
  • I personally like Pink’s arguments, although the issue of reincarnation is one that causes me problems
  • Yet, given the odd Biblical description that Judas went to his own place – who knows how this could play out in the supernatural realm?

  • Next in our various arguments to identify the man of sin is The Islamic Antichrist by Joel Richardson
  • Admittedly, I have not read this book, although I did watch an extensive debate between Bill Salus and Joel Richardson
  • I have a link below in which they discuss Mystery Babylon which relates to this topic
  • The bottom line is that Richardson believes that the Antichrist and the Islamic Mahdi, a.k.a. the Twelfth Imam, are one and the same
  • This centers around Islamic end-times theology regarding this mysterious, supernatural figure of the Mahdi
  • Joel’s perspective is that Islam will be extremely prominent in the Tribulation
  • With this view, it forces the Islamic Antichrist to be the one whom the Jews trust to confirm the covenant agreement that begins the 7-year Tribulation
  • It effectively also means that Israel would presumably look upon this Muslim to be their Messiah
  • He would be the one then to desecrate the 3rd Temple at the midpoint of the Tribulation
  • This approach has way too many flaws in it for me to take seriously
  • Just the first issue is a non-starter for me
  • The Jews have way too much history with Islam
  • They know the doctrine of taqiyya which Muslim practice to deceive others
  • Would Israel really bank their future on a treaty agreement brokered by a Muslim?

    • Next up we have Can We Know by Charles Bassett
    • In this book, Bassett suggests that God has given Christians all the tools we need to identify the Antichrist
    • In fact, he believes God encourages our deeper search in this matter
    • I can’t argue with that at all given the amazing minds that God has given us, the encouragement to search the Scriptures like the Bereans, and the ability to know the times like the men of Issachar
    • If we desire to investigate Antichrist’s identity, and we put all the clues together, why not?
    • In fact, as Bassett argues, Scripture never argues against this search or prohibits it
    • Bassett actually makes an interesting statement; he says:
  • Second Thessalonians does not say the Antichrist will suddenly be identified once the Restrainer is removed. It simply says he will be unleashed to begin his campaign of death, destruction, and blasphemy.
  • Thus, it’s possible for Antichrist to be identified prior to the Rapture
  • In his view, Antichrist will have 7 prominent characteristics; they are:
    • Appearance
      • He’ll be like a prominent Caesar of old in the mold of Nero
    • Nationality
      • He’ll be Catholic because of his Roman descent based on the earlier verse we recited in Daniel 9:26:
        • And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.
      • The general consensus of Bible teachers is that Antichrist will come out of the revived Roman empire because of this verse
    • Name
      • Bassett states that Antichrist’s name will add up to the number 666 when spelled properly in Greek or Hebrew
    • Religion
      • Because of the connection with the Whore of Babylon, i.e. the Catholic Church, Bassett believes Antichrist must be Catholic
    • Profession
      • He sees Antichrist as being a professional peacemaker, i.e. presumably a politician
    • Goal
      • Antichrist will advocate a One World Government
    • Anti-Smitism
      • Bassett’s thinking here is that based on Daniel 8:24 that says in summary he will “destroy the mighty and holy people”, i.e. the Jews, that Antichrist thus must be anti-Semistic
  • Based on these characteristics, Bassett helpfully provides a summary chart of prominent candidates for the position of Antichrist at the time of the book’s publication
  • Several men that he suggested using his checklist are:
    • Emmanuel Macron
    • Barack Obama
    • Pope Francis
    • Mikhail Gorbechev
    • Various others
  • Based on his checklist, none of these people fit the bill, i.e. none check every box
  • I like the fact Bassett effectively advocates that we can and should look at the world through a Biblical and prophetic lens – obviously by doing so, we may indeed gain significant insights into the identity of Antichrist
  • From his 7 prominent characteristics, I’m not buying it that Antichrist must be Catholic or even that he’ll necessarily be a professional peacemaker
  • In my view he could be secular and be elevated to a peacemaking position because of his beliefs as a very charismatic individual

    • Last in our review of books on this topic is The Final Nephilim by Ryan Pitterson
    • This book follows from Pitterson’s prior work titled The Judgment of the Nephilim and builds on that
    • I recommend both books
    • Pitterson espouses that the Antichrist from the beginning is a supernatural being, actually one of the Watchers, i.e. the sons of God (bene Elohim), who came to earth as shown in Genesis 6
    • He further identifies him as the mysterious character in Ezekiel 31 known as the Assyrian
    • The King James – I think correctly – uses the name of the Assyrian in this chapter as opposed to what many Bible translations say simply as Assyria
    • It appears that a personage – a literal entity – is in view
    • Likewise, there are other OT verses that discuss this being, and if translated correctly as the KJV does, they depict a living being and not just the nation of Assyria
    • The Assyrian goes by many other names
    • He may be Azazel, otherwise known as the scapegoat in Leviticus 16:8-10 (ESV)
    • He is also identified as the leader of the 200 Watchers that came down in Genesis 6 but expanded upon in the book of 1 Enoch
    • Not only that but he is designated at Abaddon or Appolyon in Revelation 9:11, but if you do a Bible search, Abaddon also comes up a number of other times
    • So, he’s actually quite prominent in the Bible, but few people discuss him because they fly by the verses that speak of him
    • Pitterson advocates that there have been numerous Antichrists possessed by this entity – the Assyrian
    • In identifying these various antichrists, Pitterson – like Arthur Pink (Clarence Larkin, a well-known end-times teacher and writers who also agrees) – identifies Judas as one of these Antichrist forerunners
    • It’s not clear to me however how he distinguishes the fact of Judas being indwelt by Satan himself and how the Assyrian is also involved with him
    • If anyone who has read this book wants to help me out in this matter, I’m certainly open to that
    • Regardless, as Pitterson says:
  • At the critical moment when he betrayed the Messiah, Judas was both human and fallen angel in one body.
    • That’s a major idea in Pitterson’s book, i.e. that the prior antichrists, and the Final Antichrist will be a Nephilim
    • In other words, he will be a hybrid being: part human, part spiritual entity just like the Nephilim of old in Genesis 6
    • There were also 7 kings that Pitterson’s research identifies as being indwelt antichrists:
      • Nimrod
        • Remember from our previous discussion of transhumanism that the operative verse with Nimrod in Genesis 10:8  (KJV) is that “he began to be a mighty man in the earth
        • Did he begin to be indwelt by the Assyrian making him even more than what he’d previously been?
      • Pharaoh of Egypt
        • When you consider this man’s hard heart and the supernatural plagues God unleashed on his nation, it’s not much of a stretch to consider him in the role of prior Antichrist
      • Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon
        • This one is curious because of how Nebuchadnezzar ends up
        • This king could have been possessed by a spirit/Watcher like the Assyrian for many years
        • However, we see in Isaiah God seemingly speaking through this king to Satan, assuming he is the Day Star, son of the Dawn
        • But there’s also mention in Isaiah 14:25 of the Assyrian in connection to this king
        • As a result, some of the identification between entities like Satan and the Assyrian can be difficult to understand completely
        • Regardless, when Nebuchadnezzar exalted himself above God, the Lord humbled him to be like a beast of the field
        • Following that, Scripture seems pretty clear that he became a follower of Yahweh – of the Lord God
        • If indeed he’d been indwelt by the Assyrian at one point, his final turnaround to become one of God’s own is stunning
      • Sennacherib of Assyria
        • In combination with this king, Pitterson states that Sennacherib’s messenger, the Rabshakeh, foreshadows the False Prophet
      • Antiochus Epiphanes is Pitterson’s fifth identified previous Antichrist,
        • Because he did the original abomination of desolation, most Bible teachers agree that Epiphanes is certainly a foreshadow of the final Antichrist at the very least
      •  The Roman emperor Domician is the next candidate in history for this position
        • Given the timing of John’s Revelation from Jesus Christ and the statement in Revelation 17:10, which says:
  • And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, he could certainly be this king who “is” at the time of John
        • Domitian was the Caesar when John was on Patmos and wrote this book
        • He was also a worshiper of demonic gods and a persecutor of the Jews
    • Finally, Pitterson says that the ruler Gog of Magog, who we see in Ezekiel 38, is another of these mystery kings
      • God directly addresses him as He does several other major wicked kings through whom we see demonic characters
      • Pitterson sees Ezekiel 38-39 as encapsulating both the initial War of Gog of Magog and the final battle at the end of the Millenium where Gog and Magog is referenced
      • He gets there by the fact that at some point Israel is dwelling securely without bars and gates – thus he places that situation at the end of the thousand years of Christ’s reign when Satan is let loose for his final hoo-rah
      • I’m an advocate of the Psalm 83 War scenario that Bill Salus has laid out, so this picture that Pitterson paints doesn’t resonate totally with me
    • There’s obviously much more in Ryan Pitterson’s well-researched and documented book

    • Let’s take a moment to consider some current-day candidates for the role of Antichrist
    • One of the most popular wanna-bes to this role is Emmanuel Macron
    • Several years ago the Economist magazine on its front cover actually portrayed Macron walking on water
    • According to various news outlets, at one time Macron wanted to govern like the Greek god Jupiter
    • There’s even a photo of him sitting in an ornate kingly chair like a ruling god
    • Of late, he’s been trying to position himself as ruler of the world
    • Now The End Begins (NTEB) is one end-times website that has chronicled much about Macron and seems to really be in the camp that he is the coming Antichrist
    • NTEB in an extensive article linked below lists several reasons they like Macron for this position, including:
      • Jewish heritage
      • Macron’s full name and what it means
      • His entire name is Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron
      • This means the following:
        • Emmanuel – meaning ‘God with us’
        • Jean – meaning ‘the Lord is gracious’
        • Michel – meaning ‘who is like God?’
        • Frederic – ‘peaceful ruler’
        • Macron – meaning ‘ short, straight, horizontal mark’ – in the Greek, this means: long (in time)
      • Putting that together you come up with something like: “God is with us.  He – the Lord – is gracious.  Who is like him?  He is a peaceful ruler who has been with us a long time.”
      • There are other clues that NTEB suggest as important:
        • His desire to be baptized in Catholicism at age 12 mimicking Jesus during Passover at the temple at that age
        • Family lineage that even goes back to the time of Antiochus Epiphanes during the Maccabean period
        • Connections to ancient Syria
        • And, or course, his connections to the global elites and the WEF
      • NTEB paints a compelling picture
      • But here’s my problem with Macron
      • It’s almost as if he’s too easy to spot
      • A lot of people think he’s the primary Antichrist candidate
      • I’m a contrarian of sorts, so when everybody is going one way, I think it’s often helpful to go another
    • A couple other interesting characters in this regard are:
      • #1 – Everybody’s current favorite foreign politician: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine
      • #2 – And a Greek politician much less known: Alexis Tsipras
      • As for Zelenskyy, several reasons for him include:
        • His rapid rise to the world stage
        • He is a Jew
        • His association with the WEF via Klaus Schwab’s Young Global Leaders
        • It seems to me that his weaknesses are being exposed, and he will fade from popularity in the race to become Antichrist
      • Regarding Tsipras:
        • He’s a charismatic atheist, although he apparently has Jewish origins
        • He came to power in Greece in 2014-2019 as a man of the Left and as the nation’s youngest ever Prime Minister
        • His power base was in Thessaloniki, interestingly enough
        • He was supported by George Soros
        • Obviously, he’s emerged out of the ancient Roman empire
        • At that time he was married and had two children but is a strong supporter of same-sex marriage
        • Today, Tsipras is the opposition leader in Greece seemingly having lost his popularity – so maybe he was a flash in the pan
    • One of my favorites in a joking sort of way has been Bill Gates
      • He wields significant influence on the world stage
      • Because of his association with Jeffrey Epstein, his potential depravity credentials are very high
      • Because of the teaching of his father a noted eugenicist, Gates has no problem killing the least of these and most vulnerable
      • That has certainly been shown through his advocacy of the COVID injections as supposed life-giving vaccines through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation
      • Moreover, he has for years been involved with vaccination campaigns in Third-World nations that have killed and harmed tens of thousands of women and children
      • The Gates Foundation was a primary player in the Event 201 pandemic simulation in 2019
      • Of course, he is extremely wealthy and poses as a philanthropist and someone who cares
      • He is a member in good standing with the WEF and was a Young Global Leader in that organization – as it seems all good globalists seem to be
      • I think Gates could still be in the running
    • The last person I want to briefly highlight and nominate for position of Antichrist is Yuval Harari
      • Harari is an intellectual and has been extremely outspoken on the merits of transhumanism
      • He is an historian and author having written mega-best-sellers, i.e. 12 M copies of each book: Sapiens, Homo Deus
      • Here is a quote concerning him:
  • Born in Haifa to Eastern European immigrants, Harari now lives with his husband in a moshav outside Jerusalem. A vegan deeply distressed by the suffering of domesticated animals, Harari meditates daily (plus a 60-day silent retreat each year). He does this, he says, to understand more fully the nature of human consciousness and “human dissatisfaction.”
    • This quote illustrates several interesting attributes of the man:
      • He’s Jewish
      • He’s of presumably Roman empire descent
      • He has no use for women
      • He doesn’t consider mankind as any more important or different than animals
      • Meditation is an Eastern religion, occult in nature, so he is likely in constant contact with demonic entities
    • Harari disdains God’s Word; he says that he is in direct opposition to it
    • Moreover, he believes humans do not have free will
    • We are hackable just like computers and can be externally controlled
    • As a transhumanist, he believes that man can become god
    • For what it’s worth, Harari is greatly admired by Barack Obama
    • Naturally, he’s close with Klaus Schwab and the WEF
    • Here are some very telling quotes from this man who – as you’ll hear – has his finger on the pulse of mankind’s next steps in our development:
      • “If we want to stop this epidemic, we need total electronic surveillance.  We don’t need to just monitor people, we need to monitor what’s under the skin.”
      • “Now humans are developing more powers than ever before.  We are really developing divine powers of creating and destruction.  We are upgrading humans into gods.”
      • “All this story about Jesus rising from the dead and being the Son of God.  This is fake news.”
      • “We need some kind of global loyalty and global identity.”
      • “Earth will be  populated or even dominated by entities that are not organic.  They don’t breathe.  They don’t have emotions.”
      • “AI is a biological revolution.”
      • The big political and economic question of the 21st Century is: What do we need humans for?  Or at least, what do we need so many humans for?”  Do you have an answer?  “At present, the best guess we have is to keep them happy with drugs and computer games.”
      • “History began when humans invented gods, it will end when humans become gods.”
    • All in all, Harari has some pretty strong credentials for this infamous position
    • He seems to be coming on strong and certainly speaks like the man of sin
    • I recommend you check out some of the videos linked below to see and hear him

Conclusion

  • The time is nearing when the Antichrist will come into his own
  • A number of men are vying for that vaunted position
  • As Charles Bassett asks: Can We Know?
  • Maybe – maybe not
  • But we can certainly see ripples of this lawless man in a number of people on the world stage today
  • Don’t bury your heads in the sand regarding this nefarious character
  • God does want us to be very much in touch with the times – and most of the church at large has forsaken this admonition to be aware and watching
  • The church cannot effectively see the red sky at evening nor the red sky at morning
  • It doesn’t know the portent of the Biblical weather
  • I like to say that I’m a contrarian because I have a fervent pre-Trib Rapture belief against what so much of Christianity believes
  • If you take a survey, you’ll find – I think – that the vast majority of Christians believe we must endure the atrocities of the Tribulation
  • Nobody talks about the pre-Trib Rapture
  • Certainly they don’t speak out loud about it – perhaps for fear of being shown wrong – perhaps because they’ve sat under poor teaching that negates the actual Word of God in this respect
  • When you listen to any prominent Christian who’s commenting on these current times, do you ever hear the hope voiced that God will deliver us from this worldly nightmare into which we’re descending? – I contend that such a statement is extremely rare, if not non-existent, except among a very few of us who place our whole trust in what God has said about this coming event
  • Because of that, I have to ask, “Does anyone who believes in Jesus have any real hope or encouragement by thinking he has to suffer through the most horrible time ever on planet earth?”
  • If anything, people think they have to hunker down and that God will shield them
  • Some even believe the Tribulation will be a party where Christians call down the plagues and dance in the streets because of their powers – seriously
  • I’ll give you two verses to see what God really intends
  • Isaiah 13:9

Behold, the day of the Lord comes,

cruel, with wrath and fierce anger,

to make the land a desolation

and to destroy its sinners from it.

  • Isaiah 13:11

I will punish the world for its evil,

    and the wicked for their iniquity;

I will put an end to the pomp of the arrogant,

and lay low the pompous pride of the ruthless.

    • Q – What does God say as to who is the object of His wrath?
    • A – Sinners – the world for its evil – the wicked for their iniquity – the arrogant and the ruthless
    • Remember also our earlier passage of 2 Thessalonians 2:6-10, specifically verses 9-10:
      • The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.
    • Q – Who does the lawless one come and deceive?
    • A – Those who are perishing – those who refuse to love the truth – those who are not saved
    • Based on God’s Word, where do we as Christ-followers, bought by the blood of Jesus and having accepted His free gift of salvation, fit into this description?
    • Has God forgiven us as far as the east is from the west?
    • Who does God see when He looks upon us for whom Jesus died?
    • Are we sinners any longer in God’s eyes, or are we clothed in the righteousness of Christ?
    • Is God a liar?
    • When He says we aren’t destined for the wrath to come, do you believe Him?
    • Or is your flawed human thinking greater than the Word of God when He also declares in Revelation 3:10
  • Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth.
  • Listen, the Tribulation is coming soon
  • The Antichrist is integral to this coming time of horrors
  • We who believe are the Bride of Christ
  • Let’s think and act like it
  • Would our beloved Bridegroom send the one He loves most into the pit of darkness and lawlessness that this world is soon to become?
  • Be a contrarian among those in your sphere of influence
  • Don’t accept their flawed thinking that God expects for us to go through a trial that is intended for unbelievers
  • The Bible – holy Scripture – is in direct contradiction to this idea
  • Don’t trust man in this – trust God and His Word
  • When you do this – your fear will vanish and your hope increase
  • Jesus is coming soon and very soon!
