The Word of God gives us many examples of what we should and should not do. There are two examples of this in today’s reading.
Jeremiah 32:8 – The Right of Possession
During the Babylonian siege of Jerusalem, the Lord told Jeremiah that he was to make a puzzling purchase: He was to buy a field in his hometown.
Jeremiah 29:11 – For I Know the Plans
In the days of Jeremiah, God brought the nation of Babylon against Judah, just as He had done with Israel at the hand of the Assyrians. There were two groups of people at this time.
Jeremiah 28:9 – The Prophet Who Prophesies Peace
The Lord gave the prophet Jeremiah an unusual Word during the time that King Nebuchadnezzar and the armies of Babylon were overrunning Judah.
Jeremiah 25:31 – The Progression of Judgment
Godlessness has a price. For all who deny the Lord God through His Son, Jesus Christ, judgment will come upon them swiftly and disastrously.
2 Timothy 2:9 – God’s Word Is Not Bound!
Timidity seems to be the order of the day in many churches. Government dictates have caused many places of worship to close down or greatly curtail their services.
