Biblical Audio Commentary – No Need for God or To Fear Him? – Think Again

The sudden “unexpected” emergence of antisemitism throughout the world has caught people by surprise.  Who could have guessed that so many individuals and governments harbored such rabid hatred for the Jews?  Whatever happened to “Never Again!”?  The answer and reality is that all this goes hand-in-hand with the rejection of God.

Why do people reject the truth of God’s Word regarding Israel?  Why would it begin in the first place?

In the case of Martin Luther long ago, he became disenchanted with trying to convert the Jews to Christianity.  Rather than take the approach that he was sowing seeds, he blamed them for his lack of reaping.  Instead of putting the results in God’s hands, he took it personally.  From that failure, Luther decided that the Jews were irredeemable and a pox on the face of the earth.  Look at how Satan used his disappointment to further his blood libel against God’s Chosen People!

For many others, could it be the rejection of the Genesis account as literal?  Disbelieve the Bible as to how God created the heavens and the earth, and you quickly fall from any truth of Scripture.  Wouldn’t it be interesting to do a survey of why there is so much Israel hatred in the church?  If you’re a Christian and support Darwin’s theory of evolution (because after all, the idea that God created the world in six days is simply ludicrous), then the chances are good that you don’t take other Biblical narratives at their face value.

There has to be a background reason for people in the church to believe in Replacement Theology when that “doctrine” is clearly contrary to Scripture.  Why this blindness to what God actually says throughout the Bible?  Before 1948 it would have been easier for such people to dismiss the Biblical truth (although done through lack of faith) – and thus many passages were seen as symbolic.  But why is this same ideology carried through to today when prophetic Scripture has come to life?

If Israel/Jew hatred is spiritual and results in the secular world rejecting God and allowing Satan to lie and deceive, wouldn’t the same dynamic be at play in the church?  The spirit of the world is one fueled by many antichrists as 1 John 2:18 says:

Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour.

Sadly, that same worldly spirit infests the church.  It’s exactly as Jude 1:4 declares:

For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.

Deny God and the truth of His Word, and that creates all sorts of open doors for Satan to enter.

The devil has been trying to eradicate the promises of God from the very beginning.  He will take advantage of any little crack in someone’s faith in order to accomplish his devious purposes.  The secular world is easy.  But, just think how proud Satan is when he destroys faith in Christ by entering in the church and spreading his abominations.

Since Israel has always been special in God’s eyes, that’s inevitably been the target for Satan to steal, kill, and destroy.  As the adversary of God’s church during this Church Age dispensation, he’s gotten pretty good at his craft.  The rampant apostasy we see is the result.  Mainstream churches are gone, the Roman Catholic Church has long been compromised.  Evangelicalism is falling right on cue.  The only thing left is for Satan turning his ire back on Israel just as God is in the process of returning His focus there.  That’s obviously been happening in spades since October 7 of last year.

But what do we see in this process?  Jew/Israel hatred has risen to extremes everywhere we look.  This includes the church.  This is a significant development in Bible prophecy.  Do you think Satan would concentrate his efforts so much against Israel right now if he wasn’t aware that time is very short?  What would be the point?  He didn’t bother much these last 2,000 years.  Only now.

Satan knows that the 7-year Tribulation is right around the corner.  If he is going to be successful in his eons-long quest to prove God a liar and to displace Him, then Israel also needs to be Satan’s target.  It’s simple logic.

This is why those who proclaim that there are still generations to come before the Lord’s return are deceived.  They cannot see what is right before their faces.  They have no understanding of the larger Biblical narrative in which Satan has striven for so long to deny God’s sovereignty – the evidence of which shows up throughout the Bible.  Of course, you have to actually read it to come to that understanding.

Those who dismiss God in the secular world and who deny His promises to Israel in the church are all missing the fear of God that brings wisdom and truth.  Those in the church who hate on Israel may think that they are secure in their salvation.  But the reality is that they are siding with the world and against the Lord.  By refuting the Word of God regarding Israel, those in the church are yoking themselves to unbelievers.  That is a highly dangerous position.  They are doing more than kicking against the goads, they are joining with those who say they have no need for God or any fear of Him.

As the title of this Commentary states, they really should think again – if they can even think any longer in these days of deception.  It’s not going to be getting any easier to remove the veil that hides truth – it will only become more difficult as we approach the very end of this world as we know it.

Those who call themselves Christian and deny Israel need to repent.  Should they fail to do so, they may very well find themselves in a world of hurt.

I believe much of the antisemitism stems from so many people being like sheep. They are afraid to have their own thoughts concerning the Jews. They fear being different, not being one of the crowd, thinking their own way. And, they also fear the possible results of speaking up for Israel; loss of employment, being ostracized by others, harming you, your family, or damaging your home.
A person can suffer very negative consequences just for a difference of opinion. We must decide if we will follow God or…..well, there is but one choice.

I think there is also a very dark, demonic spirit behind all this with many minions in that realm convincing a whole lot of people that hating israel is a really good thing to do.

Yes, certainly Satan has his finger in this, stirring up hatred in anyone he can separate from God. It’s sad to see so many people who believe the lies and trod merrily down the road to hell. I would imagine that the depth of Satan’s control of a person’s soul helps determine the ease at which he can separate them from the truth.
