The truth of the Bible is found in the unstinting depiction of the rebellion and disobedience of God’s Chosen People. If the Bible was a made-up story, it certainly wouldn’t show the continual falling away of the Israelites and the persistent need for God to rebuke or punish them. Rather, it would be a flowery tale of people always doing what God required, and Him pouring out blessings at all times. It would be a feel good fairy tale that doesn’t portray bad things happening to wicked, deceitful, and deceived people. But, that’s not the case.
The heart of man is sinful. That truth is evident from the Biblical narrative. It is also painfully evident in the world today. Hosea’s call as a prophet was primarily to bring God’s Word to disobedient Israel, a.k.a. Ephraim, or the Northern Kingdom of this divided nation. Israel went downhill more quickly than her sister Judah, the Southern Kingdom. As a result, God punished Israel sooner than Judah, causing Israel to cease as a nation once Assyria conquered her. We see one aspect of this progression to being snuffed out through Hosea’s prophetic Words and the comparison he makes. Consider what Hosea 9:9 says:
They have deeply corrupted themselves
as in the days of Gibeah:
he will remember their iniquity;
he will punish their sins.
If you’re like me, you may have forgotten about Gibeah. What is it that Hosea is referring to in comparing Israel to this place? In Judges 19-21 we’re brought this deeply disturbing narrative of unspeakable sin and corruption.
A Levite is traveling in this Benjamite town with his concubine. He is invited to stay with an old man who lives there. As night closes in, the men of Gibeah demand that the Levite come out so that they can have sex with him. To save himself, the Levite thrusts his concubine outside where these evil men rape her all night and leave her dead on the doorstep of the old man’s house. After transporting her to his home, the Levite in his self-righteousness cuts his concubine up and distributes her body parts to all the tribes of Israel. Everyone is shocked and they come against the tribe of Benjamin, which as a whole sheltered the men of Gibeah. It results in the near-annihilation of this small tribe as the others wage war against it.
When Hosea describes Ephraim in this manner, depicting the Northern Kingdom like Gibeah with its abominable sexual immorality, you can see that her sins run deep. Ephraim has reached the point of no return. In God’s judgment upon her, watch what Hosea 9:11-12 says:
Ephraim’s glory shall fly away like a bird—
no birth, no pregnancy, no conception!
Even if they bring up children,
I will bereave them till none is left.
Woe to them
when I depart from them!
God will cause childbirth to dry up. The glory of men and women made in the image of God was to bring forth new life. Many children in ancient Israel were a blessing. That favor would be completely removed.
As I often say in these essays, it gets worse. Look at Hosea 9:14:
Give them, O Lord—
what will you give?
Give them a miscarrying womb
and dry breasts.
If the women of Ephraim do conceive, they will miscarry. Hosea 9:16 puts it straight out as to what this means:
Ephraim is stricken;
their root is dried up;
they shall bear no fruit.
Even though they give birth,
I will put their beloved children to death.
Because children will be few, how can the nation survive? Through this declaration, God is cursing Israel. She will grow weak through this judgment and be humbled. All this surely contributed to Israel-Ephraim’s inability to survive the Assyrian hordes that descended when God chose the time of her demise.
I found this account intriguing because of one of the results of God’s judgment coming upon America and the world today through the use of the so-called vaccines to presumably prevent COVID infection. Of course, if you’re awake, you know that the shots are not vaccines, they are experimental gene therapy intended to bring great harm to all peoples who receive them. The wicked in this world have decided the time is right to execute the plans they have schemed about for so long. The astounding numbers of deaths and adverse effects that have been publicized to those willing to look are likely a fraction of the true harm the jabs have caused.
One such injury is the under-reported number of miscarriages among pregnant women who have received an injection. Various studies have now shown that when women get the “vaccine” within the first trimester particularly, their miscarriage rate is around 83%. As alarming are internal drug company documents which warned pregnant women not to be in the same room as someone who received the shot because of the high potential of transmission of the toxic spike protein. It is quite clear that one of the intentions of the ingredients in these drugs is to severely reduce the birthrate. In fact, it has been shown that these toxic materials are fabricated through the gain-of-function engineered into them to specifically target the ovaries and testes. Just considering this aspect of these drugs, we can easily see that an extinction level event is underway.
Let’s throw in several more facts. I’ve spoken about the Georgia Guidestones a number of times. The first commandment of these ten guides for a more pure earth is to maintain the population under 500 million people.
The climate alarmists and earth worshipers always decry that the world population is climbing out of control, that there are too many people on the planet. Yet, what we see among almost every nation in the world is a replacement birthrate below the necessary 2.1 births per woman of childbearing years that is necessary to maintain the integrity of those nations. A nation will decline to non-existence quite rapidly if its people are not continually replaced by a younger generation. I believe the last statistic I saw for America is that our birthrate is currently 1.6 children and dropping, far below what is necessary for us to exist.
Of course, this is exactly what the globalists desire. Couple our already devastating child replacement rate with a targeted effort to destroy children in the womb, AND add to that the massive push to vaccinate young children, which will lead to many more deaths among this cohort, and what do we have?
To put it succinctly: We have a country that will soon be no more. The world is moving quickly toward the point where there are no borders because there are no intact nations. Just as these elites desire, the world will be one. The New World Order is almost upon us.
This is not happening in a vacuum. Just as God determined to cause the demise of Ephraim, He is allowing this same type of situation in the United States and worldwide. How often do we see in Scripture where the Lord says something like in Hosea 10:12?
Sow for yourselves righteousness;
reap steadfast love;
break up your fallow ground,
for it is the time to seek the Lord,
that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
Just like Israel ignored God’s many warnings, so have we in this current age. Just like Ephraim was destined for destruction at the hands of God for her disobedience, so are we – astoundingly in much the same way!
The day will come that God redeems the people of Israel, and they will come humbly back to Him (Hosea 11:10-11), First, they must walk through all they have brought upon themselves. So it is with us.
The Rapture will remove God’s children who trust in Christ. Following that wondrous event for we who believe, will be the time that God rains down His wrath upon this world. During this awful seven years of the Tribulation, many will place their faith and trust in Jesus. However, many will not. The world as we know it will be destroyed through the combination of the hand of men and of God.
Rebellion and disobedience have a terrible cost. Thankfully, the Lord makes a way for those who humble themselves and turn to Him. With that in mind, let us thank God for His amazing grace that provides the means for us to escape all that is soon to come upon this unbelieving world!
