Herd mentality. This could also be called mob mentality. In the Bible, mobs are referred to as rabble or riff-raff. They’re always stirring up trouble and inciting violence or discontent. We see them in various places.
Numbers 11:4
The riff-raff that were in their midst had a strong desire; and the Israelites turned back and also wept, and they said, “Who will feed us meat?”
Acts 17:5
But the Jews were filled with jealousy and, taking along some worthless men from the rabble in the marketplace and forming a mob, threw the city into an uproar. And attacking Jason’s house, they were looking for them to bring them out to the popular assembly.
Acts 17:6
And when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some brothers before the city officials, shouting, “These people who have stirred up trouble throughout the world have come here also,”
Jeremiah 43:3
“But Baruch the son of Neriah is inciting you against us in order to give us into the hand of the Chaldeans, to kill us and to deport us to Babylon.”

But the chief priests incited the crowd so that he would release for them Barabbas instead.
These inciters take advantage of people who are easily led, or those who enjoy being part of something more than themselves, regardless whether it’s good or not. Unfortunately, another name for those who fit this category is sheep. Such animals need a shepherd, and without one are easily lost or led astray.
1 Kings 22:17
So he said, “I saw all of Israel scattering to the mountains, like the sheep without a shepherd.”
The thing about sheep is that they often have a specific destiny.
Psalm 44:22
Rather, on account of you we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for slaughter.
Psalm 49:14
Like sheep they are destined to Sheol; death will shepherd them.
We can conclude from this smattering of verses that a mob impulse leads to negative consequences, and those who go along fall into a pit of trouble.
Which brings us to the point of this essay.
In our current circumstances, known variously as the time of COVID-19, the coronavirus, the Chinese Wuhan virus, or perhaps the CoronaCrisis, many “experts” have told us what’s going on and what to do. As we’ve gotten deeper into our collective pandemic, those of us who prefer truth over narrative have seen that there’s much mis- or false information coming from these so-called authorities.
As usual in a piece like this, I have to make the disclaimer and observation that the virus is real and its effects can be devastating. Yes, it’s incredibly contagious and because of it many people have died. Many loved ones have been lost. I don’t want to minimize that fact.
But…
Much of what we’ve been told to do during this CoronaCrisis is contrary to what should have been done. Through their willing accomplices in the press, Leftists have moved quickly to capitalize. Most in this camp have a Globalist agenda, never letting a crisis go to waste, and they haven’t. In fact, we could refer to their actions as a Pangenda. They’ve used the pandemic to further their agenda.
We’ve been told that we must isolate and quarantine, that social distancing is an absolute requirement. Thus, we must shut down the economy in order to prevent further spread of the disease. And so we have. We’ve cowered in our homes. Businesses are going under at an unprecedented rate. Unemployment is skyrocketing. And from the Leftist-Globalist perspective, we’ve been conditioned.
No one wants to get sick. The authorities decree that we’ll all die unless we do as we’re told. A vaccine is coming along that we all must take, because that’ll solve all our ills. While we’re at it, the vaccine will have a few minor additions, but they’re for our own good: universal ID, microchip tracking, medical information; who knows—maybe even a time bomb to reactivate the virus after a certain time?
What has been lost in this rush to isolate is herd immunity. Many on the Right have begun talking about that lately, and it’s a real thing. It’s come out that many people were apparently exposed to the virus and never got sick or had minor symptoms. They’ve got the antibodies along with the tee shirt to prove it.
What’s that tell us? It says exactly what the title of this piece says: Herd mentality prevents herd immunity. We’ve been set up for a second wave.
Why would that be? I think two reasons. If the Left gets lucky and the second wave comes sooner rather than later, and the economy can either be shut down again or remain there from what’s happening today, the odds for President Trump to be re-elected go down significantly. The more that he can be shown to be a recession or depression president and “responsible” for the economy’s failure, the better the chances for the election of a Democrat president.
If that doesn’t work, then at the very least we have been conditioned to follow orders. There are enough “authorities” that must be listened to and believed so that in the next wave, the Global agenda, the Pangenda will be advanced that much farther along.
Aside #1 – Regarding a vaccine. As I understand it, we’ve had coronaviruses around for many years now in the form of SARS and MERS. These are extremely deadly, but have we come up with any vaccines? The common flu has plagued us forever. We do have vaccines, i.e. flu shots that are available every year. But what are we told? They’re effective for last year’s flu and maybe only 70-80% effective for the current year. If we haven’t found a vaccine for SARS and MERS, will we actually come up with one that works for COVID-19? Who’s to say that even if we do develop an effective vaccine that it’ll continue to work as the virus mutates? Is the vaccine a red herring for something more devious as alluded to earlier?
Aside #2 – The Deep State is desperate to sidetrack President Trump. Indictments are coming—serious and highly placed indictments—against those who have committed treason in their efforts to take down Trump. If Trump can be removed from the presidency, at the very least in November, then those who are the object of the investigations which prove their treasonous activities will no doubt be let off the hook by a Democrat president. Dislodging President Trump—soon—is an absolute requirement for Deep State continuity.
The CoronaCrisis Pangenda is an opportunity that Globalists have been salivating over for many years. Climate change hasn’t enlisted the support of the world populace to the extent that the Left desired. But the coronavirus changed everything. I’ve heard it said that the UN Agenda 2030 to transform the world for “sustainable development” has been advanced by ten years. This has been a dream come true.
What this tells me and many others who watch Bible prophecy, and how world events are conforming to what God decreed would happen in these latter days, is that we’re getting mighty close. The rubber band is stretching and reaching its breaking point.
Those who aren’t right with God need to repent—NOW! Time is running out for those who have chosen up to this point to ignore or dishonor God.
Soon, very soon, the Lord Jesus Christ will return for His faithful church.
